Three days ago, Trump had the U.S. military destroy a boat operated by the Venesuelan gang Tren de Aragua off Venezuela. While there is a risk of reprisals by gang members in the U.S. this otherwise could be a Twofer.
On the face of it, This is a message and the beginning of reducing the influx of drugs smuggled into the US. While the ideal means of reducing drug smuggling would be and should be consumers to drop drugs like it was Bud Lite. No demand, incentive. While that is not likely due to the realities of addiction, this attack is the begin of reducing supply and increasing the price. Increased drug prices will also reduce consumption to some extent.
The secondary benefit is that it reduces income to Venezuela. This benefits ending the war in Ukraine. By reducing drug revenue, this possibly places internal pressure on regime change and pressure on oil exportation. Anything that drives up oil supply, drives down oil prices and thus pressure on russia to negotiate a resolution and a resulation more favorable to Ukraine. This is a way to strike at Russias war capacity without directly striking at Russia directly. Venesuela is a Russian Ally. This strike at Venesuela is an embarrassment to Putin. When Russia is in need for 60K North Korean Conscripts in Ukraine, putin is unlikely to deliver support to his Ally.

Ideally, this action results ultimately in Venezuelan regeim change, open spigots on Venezuelan oil. (Hopefully on Saudi Oil as well) If oil prices can be cratered below prices that China and India are paying, Russia will have no buyers. If this all happens, there will be a need to support the US oil prices but that is a small price to pay if you can end a war without direct kinetic conflict with a nuclear armed power.
I don't know that this is happening but @dunnkruger hopes that this is the result.

The latest democrat strategy is to assert that REPUBLICAN POLICIES ARE CAUSING INFLATION IN THE PRICE OF BEER.
This is dumb because the consumption of alcohol is decreasing in the country particularly with the youth. This may be due to young adults switching to weed and other mood altering substances.
Per Fox and Friends reporting, the ad is misleading as the ad is tying the increase back to 2022 in the Biden admin. This is likely attributed to Dem policies and Dem inflation.
Republicans should have a website that shows the price change of the same products from 2022 to begin of the Trump 47 administration vs the change from begin of the Trump 47 admin to now.
My best guess is that with beer consumption decreasing that the remaining consumption is moving toward older consumers who are moving toward more upscale higher priced premium brands.
This is so stupid because dems are trying to reach the youth on inflation of a product that they are not consuming.

That's less than I thought it would be but still pretty bad. This extrapolates to about 390 people killed per year. So the average murder rate in Chicago was likely over 600 / year under the previous administration. It appears that murder rates were higher under the Biden administration. Trump called to deploy the National Guard in 2017 but did not as far as I recall. Crime declined during the Trump 45 years then spiked during covid and spiked preceeding the Biden years. Murders remained high during Biden and declined during the pre Trump 47 election year. Murder rates are lower this year and are on schedule to be lower than the late Obama years. Murder rates however are still too high. Trump is again calling for National Guard deployment.
