One average persons philosophy on life based on the belief that we are all equal brothers and sisters in the image of god. This is an attempt by a person of average intelligence to offer his understanding of life and a better way to live. As the name implies, and Dennis Miller would say, tis is my opinion..I could be wrong.

Choos life 3

Choose Life #3
OR
Reasons to use your abortion rights to see it as a life and choose life:

" Children are not a drain. They are a benefit"

While thinking through reasons to choose life of your own free will #1 and #2 a third occurred to me.

One of the reasons stated for abortion is that it is a drag on the female and holds her down. I have come to believe through the idea of making your life intentionally hard that raising children is a benefit in that it trains you for future success. Hear me out.

Bearing and raising children will definitely increase the difficulty and hardness of your life. It is most definitely the hardest thing that you will ever do. It doesn't take a village but it certainly takes a family to do it properly.

If you choose to abort your child to make your current life easier, you are ultimately making your future life harder. Having an abortion is like getting reward without effort or getting welfare. It allows you to take the easy way. Raising children are training. Like an athelete who goes to the gym, track, or field and punishes themselves to build the strength and stamina to win in competition, raising a child will build up your work muscle and make you stronger. Choosing parenthood trains you for your future success. Raising a child is an 18+ year endeavor but it's not necessarily an 18 year absence from the work force. In a two parent family, the partners can stagger work schedules as needed so one parent can be at home with the child at all times. It is profoundly hard on both parents (and two parents are needed).

The benefits are that you have developed the work strength and work ethic to support both yourself, your partner and one or more children. When the self sufficient child leaves the nest (and self sufficient is the key) you have less financial needs but still have the skill to support both you and others. This is where you build wealth. Your wages will increase over time but your expenses will decrease. In your post child 40 to 65 years you can stack cash with your margin, increase spending on fun or both. You may also have the opportunity to spoil grandchildren.
There is a saying "If you raise your children, you can spoil your grand children"
"If you spoil your children, you get to raise your grand children"

Having children allows you to build a family tribe. Building a family tribe allows you to be their leader.

I humbly argue that it is better to raise kids than own cats.

That's just my opinion. And you know what they say about opinions.

Taking a Break

I'm going to step back a bit from burdening everyone with my long winded posts. My focus was to promote that all humans are created equal with an equal amount of time in each day. I wanted to be one more voice that with hard work and skill training each individual can meet their potential. The hardness of the path is what gives the achievement its value. Serve others more than you demand others to serve you. Social assistance and social promotion is more likely to hurt you by reducing your need for skill acquisition. That's basically it. Because of believing these truths that should be self evident, @dunnkruger naturally aligns more with conservatives. These are not only conservative principles, they are available to all. It pains me to see people have been convinced that they are disadvantaged and are waiting to be lifted up. I fear that they will wait so long that they will never advance to their fullest distance. It is never too late to start. Please start now.

Serve Others

@dunnkruger was looking for secular comment on "serve your fellow man". But most were Biblical

Think about the result of serving others first VS waiting for others to serve you before reciprocating.

If everyone insist on being served before reciprocating, then everyone is just waiting and nobody recieves anything

If everyone serves initially, there is a pretty good chance that everyone will receive something from one or more.

Maybe this is why your may come at the end of the week. Maybe this is why the tip comes at the end of the me.

The Value of Work 0001

If
work = service to your fellow man
$ = reward for service to your fellow man
$ = work storage = service storage
$ = reward to others who serve you
Net service storage = wealth
Net service demand = debt
Therefore
It is better to serve others than demand service from others.
It is better to give than to receive.
