Should we love ALL of our fellow man?
Should we do unto others as they have done unto us? Should we turn the other cheek? Does how we treat the least of us or those least like us show who we really are? While the U.S. 2024 election "red wave" swung the leadership to republicans and shows the population to be leaning red, the nation is still divided largely between left and right. There are still extremes on both ends of the spectrum. As I have said before, in a one person one vote scenario, you win when when you persuade enough of those on the middle and the other side to come across in a big game of red rover to caucus with you. The vin diagram overlap of your values with their values may be a fragile razor thin line. You can win big and win consistently when the overlap is larger. As the overlap increases, the country becomes more unified. IMHO the goal is to seek greater overlap, to promote more unity, to achieve future success. Thicker overlaps make the pendulum swing further with a slower frequency and longer period of a swing to your side. So the question is how many of the opposition should we try to attract? How many should we ignore? How many should we dunk on and commit retribution? IMHO the answer comes from who is watching? How do you change each of those by your actions?
We should avoid retribution on the far left. We should avoid any physical retribution on the press and others that are allies with the left. We should make martyrs of nobody. While this do unto them as they have done to us may be satisfying and actually be fair, the new friends who are essential to the thin vin overlap, may, upon viewing you actions on their former allies, regret their choice and think that their former allies were correct about you and choose to go back home. Not only that, retribution is just wrong. Peacefully and politely take the win and move forward. As Marianne Williamson said "Love Will Win". Love all of your left neighbors as you love your self. Turn the other cheek on their cancelling mentality. Treat them better than they treated us over the last 8 long years of punches to the body and punches to the face. (There is a Tyson analogy in here about going the distance) Both our sliver of new friends and the next sliver of their friends to their immediate left are still watching. Republicans should be Bear Huggers and not gut punchers. Make love not war. Make love win.
That is a Dunn Kruger Opinion..take it for what it is worth.
(As a note, i really started with the idea that the abortion stance of both side mimics that of politics of both sides in that the left have,a tendency to kill or cancel anything that they don't like and the pro life tout that rights to exist and to pursue happiness extend to even the least of us. I wanted to conclude that all of those on the right, even the purest maga of them all should consider having love and hope for even the most woke furthest left as they are still our brothers and sisters. There is stil a chance that they may soften their stance and slowly shuffle our way. They, like all, will have to come of their free will. It is the sustainable path.

The After Party with Emily Jashinsky...
I have posted before that afterparty is well worth watching as it provides both political commentary and a vibe on youth culture. Emily is available on you tube on video and Spotify on audio. She is live twice per week , I think Monday and Wednesday at 10 PM. Yes, that conflicts with Gutfeld but there is always watch it later. Maybe @GregGutfeld should try to get her on his show and embrace the competition or as if she would let him be on The Afterparty. It has an adult beverage, organic, Red Eye vibe. She definitly passes the Penn Jillette test (I think). She seems to have guests of a multi political spectrum. I think that if I watch enough , I may find that if I know of her take on three topics, that one will not agree and thus a host of complexity that may be able to challenge your thoughts and someone to learn from. This is my hope. I think that I'm right on this one. We will see.
I'm going to step back a bit from burdening everyone with my long winded posts. My focus was to promote that all humans are created equal with an equal amount of time in each day. I wanted to be one more voice that with hard work and skill training each individual can meet their potential. The hardness of the path is what gives the achievement its value. Serve others more than you demand others to serve you. Social assistance and social promotion is more likely to hurt you by reducing your need for skill acquisition. That's basically it. Because of believing these truths that should be self evident, @dunnkruger naturally aligns more with conservatives. These are not only conservative principles, they are available to all. It pains me to see people have been convinced that they are disadvantaged and are waiting to be lifted up. I fear that they will wait so long that they will never advance to their fullest distance. It is never too late to start. Please start now.
IMHO the dirty little ...
@dunnkruger was looking for secular comment on "serve your fellow man". But most were Biblical
Think about the result of serving others first VS waiting for others to serve you before reciprocating.
If everyone insist on being served before reciprocating, then everyone is just waiting and nobody recieves anything
If everyone serves initially, there is a pretty good chance that everyone will receive something from one or more.
Maybe this is why your pay comes at the end of the week. Maybe this is why the tip comes at the end of the meal.
