In politics and in many things in life fear is a good motivator. Both parties are stoking fear of the other side. Are those fears founded? Most likely the candidates like each of us will continue to do what they have done in the past. Fortunately we have administrations to compare.
2017 -2021 restriction of illegal imigration reduced the labor supply and placed upward pressure on wages. Tax cuts that were weigthed toward the lower end of the bracket which expire in 2025 served to increase take home pay. Increased oil production and oil supply reduced oil prices and helped improve the economy. The result in the market, your 401k, and the economy over 4 years was a 56.6% gain in value with 7.6% inflation for a 49.0% net increase in buying power.
For voters whose main issue of abortion and ROE, abortion was not abolished but was sent back to the states for evaluation at a local and personal evaluation of choice. There was no tyranical abolishment of abortion. It is still a persional choice. A covid vaccine was fast tracked but did not come available until after the 2020 election.
2021-2024 (thus far) open borders has increased the population without discretion between good people seeking a better life and the criminals that they are fleeing. Covid lock downs started under the prior administration continued. Money approved under the prior administration was pumped out while the economy was shut down. The increased money supply combined with reduced economic production lead to increased inflation. Over 4 years the market increased 23.5% (2021 to date)
Inflation was 21.4% (2021 to date) for a net 2.1% increase in buying power.
Also crime is up. And we're in a war / funding a proxy war with a nuclear power.
Whoever wins will face multiple challenges in the next 4 years. If we want a better economy, who is best suited to make it better?. If we want reduced inflation, who is best suited to decrease it? If you are pro choice on having control on more issues than abortion, which political choice is more likely to give you personal choice?
If you want to end a war and prevent more hot wars, who is best suited to provide peace?
With Kamala, you are likely to get more of what is happening now. Under Trump, youre likely to get a return to his first term. The funny thing is that if he had been re -elected, Trump would timed out and not on the ballot. Wouldn't that be nice. I'm gonna speculate Trump will provide a whirlwind of me me me but also continuation of his initial tax cuts, increased oil production and reduced oil prices which will both promote a better economy, reduce Putin's ability to wage war, and reduce Irans ability to fund terror. Reduced oil can win a war and reduce / end terror without firing a shot. Tarriffs can promote more jobs for more people. We need to make more stuff in this country. Lower oil prices which China will experience as well may offset price inflation of imported items. Tarrif money could be used to provide tax cuts OR personal rebates to the lower and middle class earners. I would guess that mass deportation is impractical. The smart move would be to only deport the percent that are foreigh gangs and cartels. People seeking a better peaceful life are already good conservative americans and should be allowed to stay. My guess is that Trump is a man who wants a prominent favorable place in history and would like to go down as a Reagan or a Lincoln. He is more likely to strive to prove his detractors wrong and actually make america great again. Being great again IMHO means working hard at providing service to your fellow man. Being the best you can be and having pro choice over ALL aspects of your life that do not directly and physically harm another citizen.
Do not let fear win.
Think through both options. Reason the likely outcome of both. Then choose which outcome you prefer. Regardless, let's strive to hug it out next week and love your counterpart as you love yourself. If your side wins it is because some of the other side crossed over. Spend the next 4 years to show why their cross over was justified. Live well.
Who knows what will happen?
Come next Wednesday, we are ALL still on the same team. Let's ALL get along

This is my opinion. If it has already been said, someone else said it first
I'm going to step back a bit from burdening everyone with my long winded posts. My focus was to promote that all humans are created equal with an equal amount of time in each day. I wanted to be one more voice that with hard work and skill training each individual can meet their potential. The hardness of the path is what gives the achievement its value. Serve others more than you demand others to serve you. Social assistance and social promotion is more likely to hurt you by reducing your need for skill acquisition. That's basically it. Because of believing these truths that should be self evident, @dunnkruger naturally aligns more with conservatives. These are not only conservative principles, they are available to all. It pains me to see people have been convinced that they are disadvantaged and are waiting to be lifted up. I fear that they will wait so long that they will never advance to their fullest distance. It is never too late to start. Please start now.
IMHO the dirty little ...
@dunnkruger was looking for secular comment on "serve your fellow man". But most were Biblical
Think about the result of serving others first VS waiting for others to serve you before reciprocating.
If everyone insist on being served before reciprocating, then everyone is just waiting and nobody recieves anything
If everyone serves initially, there is a pretty good chance that everyone will receive something from one or more.
Maybe this is why your may come at the end of the week. Maybe this is why the tip comes at the end of the me.

If
work = service to your fellow man
$ = reward for service to your fellow man
$ = work storage = service storage
$ = reward to others who serve you
Net service storage = wealth
Net service demand = debt
Therefore
It is better to serve others than demand service from others.
It is better to give than to receive.
